Slayton UMC has several ministries that we run throughout the year. If you're interested in joining an ongoing ministry, please reach out, we would be happy to have you.
Every Wednesday during the school year we have children's ministry. We have Wednesday School from 6 - 7pm. Children aged 4 years - 7th grade are welcome.
Wednesday School
Confirmation classes are traditionally held at the same time as Wednesday School, however, this year we didn't have enough students and have postponed our Confirmation classes until next year.
If you're interested in having your student join confirmation next year, please contact us, we usually start confirmation in 7th grade.
Confirmation
Every Wednesday we serve hotdogs at Slayton UMC. This event is free and open to the public, all are welcome. Hotdogs are served from 5:30-6:30pm

The United Women in Faith is a group of women from the church who are committed to knowing God and supporting each other in their faith. They meet as least monthly to grow in faith through educational programs, discover and plan ways to serve the community, and minister to other areas of the world in whatever ways they can.
Joining the United Women in Faith has the benefits of growing in your relationship with Jesus Christ, praying together, and working together to make a difference in this world in the name of Jesus. United Women in Faith
There is a Bible Study on Tuesdays evenings at the Parsonage. Meetings are from 7-8:15pm. Please contact us if you'd like to join in.
Bible Study
There is also a Small Group Bible Study every other Tuesday from 5-6pm. These meetings take place at the church, upstairs in the Zimmerman Room. Their current study is through Colossians. Feel free to come join the discussion, we are always looking for new members to join. Please check the Calendar to confirm which weeks we are meeting.
